News release

Since May 12, Nova Scotia RCMP has charged two people for offences under the Nova Scotia Health Protection and Emergency Management Acts. To date, the RCMP has charged a total of 222 people with offences related to the current provincial State of Emergency in Nova Scotia.

We ask Nova Scotians to educate themselves on the directives and enforcement measures at https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/. We all need to do our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The RCMP thanks Nova Scotians for their continued support and to the vast majority who are adhering to the directives outlined by the provincial government.

The RCMP is on the road in Nova Scotia, ready to respond. For routine inquiries, please contact us at your local detachment. If it's an emergency, call 911.

As of today, the Nova Scotia RCMP will no longer be issuing news releases to report on weekly COVID-19 enforcement statistics. RCMP will continue to enforce the Nova Scotia Health Protection and Emergency Management Acts. Questions or requests for enforcement statistics can still be directed to the Public Information Officer.
