Norway House RCMP arrest and charge male with multiple offences

On September 20, 2020, at approximately 7:30 am, Norway House RCMP responded to a disturbance at a home in the community.

RCMP arrived and heard screaming and calls for help. The investigation led officers to a shed, where several people were locked inside and had been bear sprayed.

Officers broke the door and freed three females, aged 24, 28, 35, and a 49-year-old male. They were all provided first aid at the scene.

Isaiah Cromarty, 21, of Norway House, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with:

Assault with a Weapon x4

Forcible Confinement x4

Administering a Noxious Substance x4

Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

Weapons Possession Contrary to an order

He was remanded into custody.

At this time, it appears the victims were in the shed when the suspect locked them inside and then sprayed the bear spray through a window.

RCMP continue to investigate.
