Lewisporte RCMP looks to identify driver involved in pedestrian motor vehicle collision

Lewisporte RCMP is looking to identify the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a pedestrian motor vehicle collision that happened on October 27, 2020.

On October 28, Lewisporte RCMP received a call from the pedestrian who reported the collision that occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. the night before at the intersection of Premier Drive and Main Street in Lewisporte. As the pedestrian was crossing the roadway on the cross walk, a light-colored car stopped at the stop sign, made a right-hand turn and struck the pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle stopped to check on the pedestrian, who was uninjured at the time and told the driver he could continue on but the required information for the collision was not exchanged.

The driver is described as a younger male under the age of 18, who is tall, skinny and has brown wavy hair.
