Lark Harbour man is arrested for impaired driving following disturbance at local bar

A 31-year-old man of Lark Harbour is facing impaired driving charges following a disturbance at a bar in the community.

Last night, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Corner Brook RCMP received a report of a man who was causing a disturbance at the bar. The man, who was suspected to be impaired, departed in a vehicle.

Police patrolled and located the vehicle in the Town of Lark Harbour. The driver was found to be impaired by alcohol and was arrested and transported to Corner Brook Detachment for breath testing. He provided breath samples that were nearly three times the legal limit.

The man was also ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act for driving without a licence and registration.

Officers impounded his vehicle and released him from custody. He is scheduled to attend court on March 3, 2020, to face charges of impaired driving.
