Human remains identified as missing Moncton man

Human remains discovered in Lakeville Westmorland, N.B. on May 2, 2020 have been positively identified as those of 27-year-old Adam Grant Howard of Moncton, N.B. The New Brunswick RCMP are investigating the circumstances of his death as suspicious.

Adam Howard was last seen at a home on Route 115 in Irishtown on January 6, 2020. Police have determined he was texting with friends that morning, asking for a drive. He left the home around noon, and police are trying to determine if he left on foot or in a vehicle. He was reported missing to police on January 8.

On May 2, 2020, the Southeast District RCMP received a report that some of Adam Howard's personal belongings were located near a wooded lot in Lakeville Westmorland. A search of the area was conducted, and human remains were found. Police have confirmed they are those of Adam Howard.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death, including if anyone was involved in his death and how his body came to be in the location where it was discovered.
