Kings District RCMP is asking for public help to solve a break and enter to a downtown business in Berwick, which resulted in the theft of cigarettes.

The morning of July 23, Kingston RCMP responded to a break and enter at a business on Commercial St. in Berwick. When police arrived, they found that the front door made of glass had been smashed. It appeared that this allowed the suspect to enter the store.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect entering the store and immediately dumping out the contents of a garbage can. They then locate cigarettes and put them into the garbage can and carries the garbage can with cigarettes out of the store.

The suspect was wearing a light coloured hoodie with the hood up, gloves, dark coloured pants and dark coloured shoes with light soles.

Anyone with information on these incidents is encouraged to contact Kings District RCMP in Kingston at 902-765-3317.
