Harbour Grace RCMP arrests two people following a fight at a residence in Bristol’s Hope

At approximately 6:00 a.m. on January 4, 2020, Harbour Grace and Bay Roberts RCMP were dispatched to a residence in Bristol's Hope in response to an altercation between four adults that resulted in injuries to all.

A 38-year-old man was assaulted and stabbed and a 24-year-old woman sustained a slash wound.

Police attended the residence. All four individuals were transported by ambulance to Carbonear General Hospital and were treated and released.

A 33-year-old man of Bristol's Hope and a 30-year-old woman of Nova Scotia were arrested. The woman, who now faces two charges including two counts of aggravated assault and a charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, was later released from custody and is scheduled to attend court on February 19, 2020. The man remains in custody at this time and has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and a charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
