Gander RCMP seizes more than $14,000 in cash and a quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine pills following a traffic stop in Gander.

A 49-year-old man from Clarkes Head is facing drug-trafficking charges after Gander RCMP found a quantity of drugs and cash following a traffic stop in Gander.

On May 1, 2020, Gander RCMP were on patrol and observed a truck they recently stopped for having no registration driving on Edinburgh Avenue. Police conducted a traffic stop to ensure the registration was now valid.

Officers observed suspected cocaine on the floor of the truck and arrested the driver, Jeffery Mullett, for possession of cocaine.

A search of Mullett and the vehicle was conducted. A quantity of cocaine, more than 200 Methamphetamine pills and over $14,000 in cash was located.

Mullett was released from custody and is set to attend court on August 11, 2020, to face charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
