Four people charged under the Health Protection Act

On March 31, Nova Scotia RCMP charged four people under the Health Protection Act, in relation to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Two people were charged for Failing to Self-quarantine or Self-isolate after returning from out of Country. Two others were charged for Failing to Maintain a Social Distance of two metres or six feet. All four individuals were fined $697.50.

The Nova Scotia RCMP will provide updates to the public each Tuesday and Thursday in relation to charges under the Health Protection Act related to COVID-19.

Nova Scotians are very good at looking out for one another in times of need. We are asking people to help protect their communities by reporting crime and suspicious behaviour to police, and by adhering to the steps outlined by government to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
