On Feb. 2, 2020 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Elk Point RCMP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 897 near Township Road 562.
Preliminary investigation revealed an SUV was travelling northbound on Highway 897 when it veered off the road and rolled several times into a ditch.
A 56-year-old female passenger from Frog Lake was pronounced deceased at the scene. The adult male driver was taken to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
Elk Point RCMP along with a RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate. The name of the deceased will not be released.
