An ongoing drug trafficking investigation has led to the seizure of drugs, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a loaded firearm, a significant quantity of money, and a luxury vehicle, as well as the arrests of seven people.
On September 17, 2020, at about 12:30 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP Crime Reduction Unit and patrol members executed the arrests of three people in the parking lot of a business on Mountain Road in Moncton. They are a 26-year-old man from Moncton, and a 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from Colpitts Settlement, N.B.
During the operation, police seized a loaded handgun, a quantity of drugs believed to be cocaine, a large quantity of money, as well as a luxury vehicle believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime.
Simultaneously, a search warrant was executed at a home on Oakland Avenue, where a quantity of drugs and various drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized. Four people were arrested at the home. Two of the people were released.
Two men, aged 43 and 67, both from Moncton, as well as the two men and woman arrested on Mountain Road have been released on documents to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on January 5, 2021.
The investigation is ongoing.
