The Saint-Quentin RCMP detachment is asking for the public's help in identifying the driver of an unlicensed dirt bike involved in a dangerous driving incident with police.
On May 15, 2020, around 6:55 p.m., RCMP members attempted to stop an off-road dirt bike driving dangerously on Guimond Road in Saint-Quentin. The dirt bike drove at the police vehicle, narrowly avoiding a collision, before fleeing the scene across Route 17 against a red light at a high rate of speed.
Police were able to capture images of the dirt bike and driver. The dirt bike is described as being white and yellow with a grey star on the front. It did not have a licence plate. The driver is described as a man, wearing a white helmet with grey or green markings on it, a grey hoodie with red lettering "HH" on the front, dark pants, and a black backpack.
Anyone who witnesses a dangerous driving incident is asked to call 911 to report it. Providing a description of the vehicle, the driver and direction of travel can help police respond and take dangerous drivers off the road.
