Deer Lake RCMP recovers stolen 30-foot enclosed trailer, stolen out of Alberta in April, 2020.

A 28-year-old Lloydminster Alberta man, with connections to the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, is facing a charge of possession of stolen property following a traffic stop conducted by Deer Lake RCMP on May 31, 2020.

At approximately 2:15 a.m., police stopped a pickup truck towing an enclosed trailer in Deer Lake. The officer conducted licence plate checks on the truck and trailer and discovered that the licence plate attached to the trailer did not match the trailer. Further investigation determined that the 30-foot trailer was reported as stolen in Alberta in April, 2020.

The man was arrested for possession of stolen property, released from custody and is set to attend court in September of 2020.

RCMP NL continues to fulfill its mandate to protect public safety, enforce the law and ensure the delivery of priority policing services in Newfoundland and Labrador.
