Correction: Collision claims life of 21-year-old man

A 21-year-old man from Dipper Harbour, N.B., has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck in Musquash, N.B.

On August 22, 2020, shortly after 1:30 p.m., the Southeast District RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Route 790 in Musquash. The collision is believed to have occurred when the pickup truck which was travelling Southbound collided with a motorcycle which was also travelling Southbound. The driver and lone occupant of the motorcycle died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver and lone occupant of the pickup truck was not injured.

An RCMP Reconstructionist attended the scene and is assisting with the investigation. The highway was closed for several hours, but has since been re-opened.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
