A suspect wearing black clothing, a face mask and white footwear broke into the Garnish Town Hall on October 21, 2020.

Burin Peninsula RCMP is investigating a break and enter that occurred at the Garnish Town Hall on October 21, 2020.

Police received a report of the break and enter which occurred overnight. A suspect, wearing black clothing, a face mask and white footwear, forced entry into the building. Video surveillance captured the suspect entering the location at approximately 3:20 a.m. A safe containing a large sum of cash was removed from the property and was taken by the culprit(s).

Residents of Garnish and Frenchman's Cove, who have surveillance systems, are asked to please check their footage between the hours of midnight and 4:00 a.m. on October, 21, 2020, for any suspicious activity that may assist police with solving this crime.
