Bay St. George RCMP seized two vehicles following separate reports of vehicles speeding in the area of Flat Bay.

On May 5, 2020, at approximately 1:30 p.m., police located one of the vehicles, a white Dodge Charger, in Stephenville Crossing. The driver, a 36-year-old St. Theresa's man, was charged with several offences under the Highway Traffic Act including having no licence, no insurance, tinted windows, having an improper licence plate attached to the vehicle and failing to notify the registrar of change in ownership of the vehicle. The car was seized and impounded.

Approximately an hour later, police located the second vehicle, a blue Pontiac G6, in Stephenville. The driver, a 35-year-old Stephenville Crossing woman, was operating without valid insurance and was ticketed for that offence. The car was seized and impounded.
