A 35-year-old Butlerville man was arrested following a single-vehicle collision this morning in Shearstown.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., Bay Roberts RCMP responded to a report of a collision. Officers attended and located the vehicle in the ditch. The driver, who police believed to be impaired by alcohol was arrested for impaired driving. He was transported back to the detachment where he provided breath samples that were more than the legal limit. The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face charges of impaired driving. Police seized and impounded the vehicle and suspended the man's driver's licence.
