Annapolis District RCMP investigate fatal single vehicle collision

At approximately 2:40 p.m. on May 6, Annapolis District RCMP were called to a single vehicle collision between Exit 22 and West Dalhousie Rd.

A preliminary investigation determined the lone vehicle was travelling eastbound when it went off the road. The driver, a 77-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger, a 55-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 101 was closed for approximately four hours and is now reopened. An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene to assist with the investigation. The collision remains under investigation.
