Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit lay second degree murder charges – Maskwacis

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit have laid a charge of second degree murder following a death which occurred on July 28 on the Montana First Nation.

At 10:50 p.m., Maskwacis RCMP responded to assist EMS with a severely injured male. The male was located outside a residence and was declared deceased on scene. The death was determined to be suspicious and the RCMP Major Crimes Unit was deployed to maintain carriage of the investigation, with the assistance of Maskwacis General Investigation Section.

Dylon Samuel Saddleback (19) of Ponoka was arrested without issue. He has been charged with second degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Joshua Dennehy of the Montana First Nation.

Saddleback had a court appearance this morning and his matters have been put over for court in Wetaskiwin on August 20, 2020.
