Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigate homicide

Parkland RCMP and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit are investigating after an adult male was located deceased inside a residence on Paul Band First Nation.

On August 30, 2020 at approximately 3:25 a.m., Parkland RCMP were dispatched to a report that a male had been shot inside a residence.

An autopsy will be completed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on September 2, 2020. RCMP Major Crimes Unit has carriage of this matter and are investigating this as a homicide.

Investigation has determined that this was a targeted incident and not random.
