On Feb. 8, 2020 at approximately 4 p.m., Desmarais RCMP responded to a stabbing at a residence in Wabasca.
One male was taken to hospital and later pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained. Two other males were flown to an Edmonton hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
A 25-year-old male of Wabasca has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Hughie Decoine (27) of Wabasca. The male was also charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
He is scheduled to appear in Desmarais provincial court on Feb. 13, 2020.
As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be made available.
