On November 14, 2019, Bay Roberts and Harbour Grace RCMP responded to a serious assault in Upper Island Cove. A man was stabbed by another man at a residence.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old man from the area has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
He is being held in custody pending a court appearance at Harbour Grace Provincial Court later today.
The victim of the stabbing was treated and released.
Residents in the area can expect an increased police presence in the coming days as the investigation continues.
