Two-vehicle collision on Route 380 near Robert’s Arm claims lives of four people

Yesterday, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Springdale RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle head-on collision on Route 380 near Robert's Arm.

The collision, between a small car and a SUV, has claimed the lives of four occupants and left one in serious condition.

The driver and sole occupant of the SUV was a 63-year-old man from Little Bay Islands.

The occupants of the car included a couple from Triton, the driver, a 67-year-old man, and his wife, a 61-year-old woman, and two female passengers ages 16 and 14 years old from Middle Arm.

The 61-year-old woman is the lone survivor of this crash. She remains in serious condition at this time.

Weather and road conditions at the time of the collision were good and all occupants were wearing seatbelts.

An analyst with RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene and the investigation is continuing.
