St. Paul RCMP - Joint efforts result in arrest of wanted males

On Aug. 19, 2019, St. Paul RCMP and Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) members were conducting an investigation in St. Paul and Two Hills County in relation to a possible stolen vehicle.

Police located a male wanted by the Edmonton Police Service. The residence was surrounded when the male attempted to escape. A warrant to enter the house was obtained, and police arrested the male who was found hiding under planks in a crawl space. An additional male wanted by Fort Saskatchewan RCMP was also located and arrested by police.

A 34-year-old male of Saddle Lake was charged with the following:

  • Resisting a peace officer
  • Failing to comply with a Recognizance
  • Possession of a controlled substance

He was also arrested for his outstanding warrants, which included the following charges:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Operation of a motor vehicle while disqualified
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Failing to comply with a Recognizance (X3)
  • Failing to attend court

He was remanded into custody after a judicial hearing and is scheduled to appear in St. Paul provincial court on Aug. 29, 2019.

Another 34-year-old male of Saddle Lake was arrested for his outstanding warrants, which included the following charge:

  • Being unlawfully at large (X6)

He was released after a judicial hearing and is scheduled to appear in Fort Saskatchewan provincial court on Aug. 22, 2019.
