Sandy Bay RCMP: Aggravated assault results in life-threatening injuries

On Nov. 21, 2019, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Sandy Bay RCMP received the report of numerous people threatening to injure an adult male in his residence in Sandy Bay, SK.

Upon arrival, police located the 26-year-old male victim severely injured in his residence. There were numerous windows broken and furniture and appliances severely damaged.

Officers provided first aid to the victim until EMS arrived on scene. The victim was transported via air ambulance to hospital in Saskatoon with what were believed to be serious, life-threatening injuries.

With assistance from Prince Albert General Investigation Section, a total of six individuals were arrested, including 19-year-old Kobe Ray and 21-year-old Fabian Morin. The remainder of the four accused are youth, whose names will not be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The accused are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Prince Albert on Nov. 25, 2019.

The investigation is ongoing.
