The RCMP's Major Crime Unit (MCU) and Rimbey RCMP are investigating an incident that occurred today at approximately 4:11 p.m. in the Rimbey area.
There is no further threat to the public.

RCMP advise that a 28-year-old male was arrested in relation to the homicide of another male and remains in police custody.
On June 24, 2019 at approximately 4 p.m., Rimbey RCMP responded to a complaint in Lacombe County, Alta. Upon arrival, RCMP located a male with significant injuries; he was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
The 28-year-old male of Sylvan Lake, Alta has been arrested and charged for first degree murder. The male has been remanded and is scheduled to appear at Red Deer provincial court on Wednesday June 26, 2019.
