The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is pleased to invite members of the media to attend a session as part of its National Youth Engagement Week at the RCMP Academy, Depot Division.
This initiative provides an opportunity for 31 Grade 12 students from all over Canada to attend the RCMP Academy to "train like a Mountie."
Successful candidates were selected based on number of criteria, including their academic achievement, community engagement, interest in law enforcement, a written application and telephone interview.
The youth will participate in various activities during their week at Depot, including interacting with police officers from various units of the RCMP and experiencing cadet training.
Youth and RCMP representatives will be available to speak to the media.
- WHEN: Arrive before 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 27, 2019
- WHAT: Forensic identification session from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CST followed directly by interviews with program facilitators and youth.
- WHERE: RCMP Academy, "Depot" Division in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Please proceed to the guard room in Fort Dufferin to get a visitor's pass (you will need to leave a piece of government-issued photo identification). Visitors must be accompanied at all times while at the RCMP Academy.
