On Nov. 17, at approximately 1:30 a.m. the Parkland RCMP responded to Township Road 532A and Range Road 274, just north of Highway 16, to assist EMS with a complaint of a female in medical distress. On scene, it was determined that the female was deceased.
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) responded to investigate with the assistance of Parkland RCMP Serious Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification Section and Police Dog Services.
This morning, an autopsy was conducted at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton. The manner of death is deemed to be a homicide. The deceased female has been identified as 33-year-old Saladina Vivancos.
