On Nov. 8, 2019, a female was located deceased in her residence near Armena, Alta.
Through investigation, a male was identified as a suspect and arrested on Nov. 9, 2019 in Edmonton.
A 23-year-old male of Fort McMurray has been charged with murder in the death of a 78-year-old female. He was remanded into custody and is set to appear in Wetaskiwin provincial court on Nov. 26, 2019 via CCTV. RCMP are not looking for any other suspects.
As this matter is now before the courts, no further information will be released.
