RCMP investigating death of 16-year-old as a homicide

The New Brunswick RCMP's Major Crime Unit is investigating the death of a 16-year-old boy from Picadilly, N.B., as a homicide.

On December 18, 2019, at about 9:30 p.m., members of the Sussex RCMP responded to a 911 call at a residence on Orchard Crescent. When police arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy deceased inside the home. No one else was in the house.

The victim has been identified as Michael Kraszewski.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the boy's death. On December 20, a search warrant was executed at the home on Orchard Crescent.
