Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia

News release

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a series of collisions that started with a school bus colliding with a tree yesterday morning in Lower Sackville.

At approximately 7:50 a.m., RCMP responded to a call that a school bus had slid into a tree on Hillcrest Ave. Following that, another vehicle collided with the bus. An RCMP officer arrived on-scene, parked and exited their cruiser to investigate. While the officer was out of his cruiser, they observed another vehicle approaching the scene and moved everyone to a safe location prior to that vehicle colliding with the parked cruiser.

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency EHS attended. There were no injuries. The road was closed for a short time and has since re-opened.

The investigation is ongoing.
