On Sept. 23, 2019, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Nipawin RCMP received the report of a deceased adult male at a residence in Candle Lake, near the Fisher Creek Trading Post in Saskatchewan.
Police attended the scene and called for assistance from the Prince Albert Forensic Identification Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
At this time, any type of foul play cannot be discounted or confirmed without further investigation. The Saskatchewan Coroners Service maintains carriage of the investigation as criminality has not been confirmed.
The RCMP will continue to assist with the investigation and work with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service to determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
