The Northeast District RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in locating a man wanted on a warrant.

On November 15, 2019, a warrant of arrest was issued in Caraquet Provincial Court for 30-year-old Ronald Albert Canuel from Bathurst, N.B. He has been charged with robbery, breaking and entering, committing an indictable offence inside a dwelling house, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and wearing a disguise with intent.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on November 5, 2019, at a residence on Route 11 in Village-Blanchard. Police responded to a report of a home invasion and robbery. It's believed three individuals entered the home and assaulted the occupant with a weapon.

Thirty-two-year-old Willie Larocque of Beresford and 25-year-old Blayne Rose of Bathurst both appeared in Tracadie Provincial Court on November 13, and were each charged with several charges related to the incident. They were both remanded into custody.

Ronald Albert Canuel is described as being five feet eight inches (173 centimetres) tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kilograms). He has blonde hair, blue eyes and has several tattoos on his face and neck. He has been known to drive a 2013 Mazda 3 with New Brunswick licence plate JUE 952.

Police have been following up on several leads to try and locate him, but so far have been unsuccessful.

Anyone who sees Canuel is encouraged not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ronald Albert Canuel is asked to contact the Caraquet RCMP at 506-726-5222. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
