A Halifax man has been charged with three counts of Intimidation of a Justice Participant stemming from an incident in 2016 and two incidents in 2019.
On November 18, 2016 and December 29, 2016, the accused had an interaction with a uniformed peace officer who was in the course of performing their duties.
In early 2017, following those interactions, the accused posted personal and concerning information about the peace officer and their family on social media.
On September 15, 2019, a different peace officer entered a business on St. Margaret's Bay Rd. in Hubbards. The accused approached the officer and made concerning statements about that officer as well as the officer involved in the November 18 and December 29 interactions.
As a result of these statements, the accused was arrested without incident at a business on St. Margaret's Bay Rd. in Hubbards on September 18 at approximately 1:40 p.m.
Wayne Joseph Misener, 45, of Halifax, has been charged with three counts of Intimidation of a Justice Participant. He appeared in Halifax Provincial Court this morning and is scheduled to appear again this afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the General Investigation Section of the RCMP-HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
