Yesterday afternoon just before 4 p.m., Pictou County District RCMP responded to a fatal tractor incident in a driveway off of Hwy. 376 in Durham, Pictou County. The tractor operator was trying to pull another tractor out of the ice.
The 76-year-old man from Durham, Pictou County, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The preliminary investigation has indicated the tractor the man was operating flipped and pinned the man under the tractor.
West River and Scotsburn Fire Departments attended along with EHS.
The incident remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with the victim's family at this difficult time.
