On Monday May 6, 2019, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Drayton Valley RCMP, with assistance from the Western Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit, arrested one of Edmonton's Most Wanted Criminals, a 29-year-old male. He was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for parole violation stemming from a previous drug trafficking conviction.
A search warrant was executed at his residence in Drayton Valley. As a result, members seized 35.6 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of cocaine, a small quantity of heroin, a significant amount of cash and several prohibited devices.
Two other males and three females were also arrested and several charges against these individuals are pending.
The 29-year-old male has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x2)
- Possession of currency obtained by commission of a Criminal Offence
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public
- Possession of a prohibited device while prohibited.
He was additionally charged with flight from police stemming from an incident which occurred in Drayton Valley on April 11, 2019.
