Colchester District RCMP and Colchester Waste Resource Management recently conducted "Litter Checkpoints" at various locations throughout Colchester County.

Motorists in the communities of Stewiacke, Brookfield, Bible Hill, Tatamagouche and Great Village received educational information and car litter bags during the "Litter Checkpoints."

"Unfortunately people still think it's okay to throw garbage out their car window or illegally dump trash on other people's property," says Cpl. Marc Rose, Colchester District RCMP. "It is hoped that these checkpoints will act as a reminder to motorists to put garbage where it belongs."
