Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP: Missing 7-year-old

The search for 7-year-old Greagan Geldenhuys continues, however, it is now being treated as a recovery mission. Recovery efforts are currently focussed on the beach around B-Say-Tah, where it is believed Greagan and his mother Tamaine were on Friday. The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team is searching this area. RCMP Police Dog Services conducted a ground search this morning and located nothing to further the investigation.

Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP, RCMP Search and Rescue, Fort Qu'Appelle Fire Department, Ministry of Environment Conservation Officers are on standby for a continued ground search if required.

This investigation remains ongoing and updates will be provided as they become available. At this time, there is no evidence to support foul play in the death of Tamaine Geldenhuys or in the disappearance of Greagan.

On August 25, 2018, Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP responded to a complaint of a deceased adult female on the beach near the Fort campground in the town of Fort Qu'Appelle. RCMP officers are currently at the scene where the deceased was located as they start the sudden death investigation.

During the course of the sudden death investigation on August 25, 2018, RCMP are looking for the public's assistance in locating 7-year-old Greagan Geldenhuys of the Fort Qu'Appelle area. Greagan was last seen on August 24, 2018 during the afternoon in the Fort Qu'Appelle area. Greagan has blond hair and slim build. A photo is attached.

The identity of the deceased has been confirmed to be Tamaine Geldenhuys, a 47-year-old female from the Fort Qu'Appelle area. Tamaine is Greagan's mother. Investigators believe Greagan was with his mother sometime before she was located deceased on the beach yesterday.
