After graduating from Depot and receiving her badge from her father, then S/Sgt. Luc Breton, on February 15, 2016, Cst. Jeannine Breton made her way to her first posting in Bathurst, N.B. There, she began her career right where her dad started his, back in 1985.

She was even lucky enough to have the chance to work a couple of shifts with her dad during her first summer of service.

Insp. Breton, who was commissioned since presenting his daughter's badge, was delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside his daughter. "I will always cherish those two nights. This simple experience gave me such of a thrill," said Insp. Breton. "What a proud moment it was for me and, I think, for Jeannine as well. It brought back so many good memories from when I first patrolled the Bathurst highways back in the early days of my career."
