Application status

We cannot respond to email inquiries regarding application status. If you would like to know the status of your application, please call us or submit your inquiry by fax or mail. Please allow five (5) business days for faxed information.

Update your address

Help the CFP get your renewal and other notices to you on time.

The Firearms Act gives you 30 days to notify the CFP of a change of address. You can update your address in one of three ways:

You will need your firearms licence number and other personal information to confirm your identity.

If you own a restricted or prohibited firearm and are moving to a new address, you must obtain an Authorization to transport.
