Graduation week

Closing ceremonies include a drill display and badge presentation at the Drill Hall where parents, spouses, relatives and close friends are welcome. Social functions sometimes follow the event, but they are planned and paid for by cadets.

Because new members only accumulate vacation leave after graduating, they will be required to make arrangements to move to their new posting by way of a business trip.

A typical graduation week looks like this:

Tuesday and Wednesday

Travel days

Thursday

Pack day (moving company)

Friday

Load day (moving company)

Saturday

Travel to the new post

If no relocation is required, the newly engaged member returns to their home base and reports for work as per their contract agreement.
