Shawna Vanderbasch

Location : Turner Valley, Alberta

Details : On June 19, 1991, 20 year old Shawna VANDERBASCH was socializing with three co-workers at a Calgary restaurant. At approximately 9:30 PM, Shawna and two of her girlfriends attended the Tasmanian Ball Room on 12th Avenue and 1st Street, Calgary to view a fashion show held to benefit the Sheriff King Home. Shawna left the fashion show around 1:30 AM on June 20, 1991. She received a drive near her home by an acquaintance. She was dropped off at the corner of Southland Drive and MacLeod Trail at approximately 3:30 AM.

On June 20, 1991, at approximately 8:30 AM, Shawna VANDERBASCH’s naked body was discovered beside a rural road approximately 4.5 kilometers from the Priddis turnoff north of Highway 22X. The location is south west of Calgary within the Turner Valley RCMP Detachment jurisdiction.

Shawna VANDERBASCH resided in the city of Vancouver most of her teen and adult life. She moved to Calgary in March 1991. She worked at that time as a hair dresser for Moda Hair Design
