Saskatchewan RCMP work with Saskatchewan Justice to provide services to victims of crime. These services include crisis intervention, compensation and victim/witness services. Most areas of the province are covered by police-affiliated victims services programs.
Victims of crime have needs from the time of the crime until the justice/court process has been concluded. These needs are distinct from those addressed by social services, health, education or other services.
The Victims of Crime Act in Saskatchewan is the basis for the Victims Services Program of Saskatchewan Justice. Through the Act, a surcharge is levied on fines for federal and provincial offences. The money is the sole funding for services under the program.

Victims Services also works with those who are victims of traumatic events such as fires, natural disasters or lost/missing persons.
If you are a victim, contact your local RCMP detachment (link to detachment contact info) or police service. They will put you in contact with Victims Services in your area.
