RCMP in Hudson Bay:
The present building occupied by Hudson Bay Detachment was built in 1965. Hudson Bay, while not classified a northern posting, is considered an isolated posting. The detachment borders extend 123 KM north, 75 KM south, 50 KM west, and 50 KM east to the Manitoba border.

The majority of the complaints received by the Hudons Bay RCMP office are dealing with Criminal Code and Provincial offenses. The office supports the programs: Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE); Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth (PARTY); and Bully Resistance Education (BRAVE). These programs are well received in both schools and the community.

Our RCMP Detachment has a compliment of 6 Regular Members and two Support Staff as well as an active Volunteer Victim Services Unit (VSU). We have 2 cars, 1 truck, 2 ATV’s and 2 snowmobiles. In addition, we have a Snowbulance that can be towed by either an ATV or snowmobile.

We look forward to any inquiries about our Detachment or the great community we serve.
