Ottawa "A" Division RCMP

RCMP Ottawa “A” Division, currently has 23 operational units which include the RCMP’s only War Crimes Section. Today, the division’s territory covers more than 5,000 square kilometres in and around the National Capital Region (NCR). Since the geography of “A” Division covers parts of both Ontario and Quebec, working partnerships with police forces from the provincial and municipal levels of both provinces are essential. Our unique location in Canada’s national capital means that “A” Division must also work in partnership with many federal government departments.
