Our Missing Children Award of Excellence

The "our missing children" Award of Excellence

is an award recognizing an individual, group, program or organization that has dedicated themselves to leadership, had a direct and significant impact in the search for and recovery of missing children, and/or shown sustained excellence in, working together with others to bring home missing children. This includes preventative and facilitate initiatives. The award will consist of a Circle of Friends - Jade Inukshuks. It's design will contain the "our missing children" logo, the name of the award in both official languages, the name of the recipient and the year. The Inukshuk is an Inuit word meaning “Image of man’s spirit”. Originally, the Inuit built these manlike sculptures of rock along Canada’s northern shores as markers to lead their way. Today, they serve as symbols to remind us of our dependance on one another and the importance of strong relationships.
