Each year traffic crashes and collisions account for approximately 3,000 deaths and 19,000 serious injuries within RCMP jurisdictions. Our challenge is to reduce these tragedies by developing effective strategies with our communities.

The Traffic Services Program focuses on education, enforcement, and technical investigations to reduce deaths, serious injuries and property damage resulting from motor vehicle crashes. We have set a target to achieve a 30% reduction in the number of fatal or serious roadway injuries by 2010.
