RCMP investigate fatal motor vehicle collision near Amherst, Amherst, N.S.

Amherst RCMP are investigating a single motor vehicle collision which resulted in the death of a 39-year-old female.

Yesterday evening around 9:30 p.m., Amherst RCMP, EHS and Tidnish Fire Department responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 366 in Tidnish Bridge, Cumberland County. As a result, the lone occupant of the vehicle, a 39-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene. An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended the scene and the investigation is continuing at this time. The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of family.
