Canso Causeway shut down due to collision, Auld's Cove, N.S.

The RCMP would like advise the motoring public that the Canso Causeway is closed due to a collision.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a 911 call about an 18-wheeler that jack knifed blocking the Canso Causeway. The male driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was not injured, however the Causeway remains closed to all traffic.

RCMP and Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal are on scene and working to remove the 18-wheeler.

The RCMP would like to advise the motoring public that the Canso Causeway is currently experiencing blizzard like conditions. Please adjust your driving as required, or stay off the roads if possible at this time.
