RCMP Northern Traffic Services charged a man from Riverview, New Brunswick with Stunting.
Yesterday at approximately 3:53 p.m., RCMP clocked a vehicle traveling 176 km/h in a 110 km/h zone. The Acura TL was traveling east bound on Hwy 104 west of Exit 6 near Salt Springs, Cumberland County.
The driver received an automatic license suspension for seven days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. The driver faces a fine of $2412.41.
RCMP remind motorists to slow down, 'It is important drivers understand that speeding increases their risk of getting into a collision,' says RCMP Northern Traffic Services Corporal Darren Galley. 'Too often people think it will not happen to them, but I've seen it too many times, where excessive speeds have caused serious injuries and death.'
